Festival of Family Farms: each fall, many of the local farms in the valley open their farms, fields and barns to the public and allow us to experience the riches of their land. They set up activities for the kids (painting and making corn/squash/zucchini cars, pony rides, sit on a tractor, etc), let us sample their food, pet their livestock and just allow us to explore our amazing surroundings!
