Hello Kitty Party

It was a day filled with Hello Kitty, friends, and fun (despite the fact that Ashlyn had a cold, but you'd never know it by the excitement and joy present in her face!). She did a great job sharing her toys with all her friends and was happy to be a Kitty princess for the day. She loved all her presents, particularly her new baby doll which hasn't left her side since the moment she got it.
Happy 2nd Birthday Sweet Ashlyn!

Washington Park

A beautiful day here means we have to get outside, so we wandered over to Washington Park for a family walk. Ashlyn walked the last almost 1/2 of the over 2 mile loop, and insisted at the end that she walk Bogey as well.

Fishy Toes

While driving back from Vancouver last weekend, Ashlyn discovered an inventive (and somewhat disgusting) way to eat her fishy crackers. Got to give her credit for ingenuity through boredom.

Up!

We recently borrowed a book from the library called "Up!" It is a book about a little girl wanting her daddy to pick her up, throw her up in the air, jump up and down, etc. So it has become the daddy and Ashlyn book and they like to read it together.
I saw Ashlyn take the book outside the other day and followed her out. She found her comfy spot and just started reading: (turn the volume up loud because it's rather quiet)

One More

Combat cleaning.
Seriously, how could you even stage something like this? Kids are so random and hilarious.

More Ashlyn Randoms

Poor Brody (our neighbor's dog that we were watching) - forced to sit on the floor while Ashlyn sits in your bed

So proud of her new find - floor cleaner. Definitely her daddy's little girl.

We unpacked the box with the crab towel in it (from Grammy and Pop-Pop) and she insisted that she wear it around the house like a cape
