A Sister's Love

Ashlyn is just loving her baby brother these days - she wants to touch him and hug and kiss him and lay next to him all the time.
AND, on Sunday, she even, finally, asked to hold him!

Poor Baby

I think Ashlyn thinks he's just another one of her baby dolls

New Car Seat

Knowing we'd need another toddler car seat for Brenden eventually, we decided to get a new one now so that we could have one to use in each car. Ashlyn LOVES it and has discovered it's perfect for curling up in with a good book.

Knife Skills

This was a gift for her 2nd birthday from a friend and she is just now starting to show promise in her knife-cutting skills. Hopefully she won't be as accident-prone with the real thing as her mom is.

Photo Shoot

A gal in the squadron is a budding photographer and asked if she could come take pictures of Brenden for her portfolio. She snuck in a few of big sister too!

Just Being Baby Boy - 3 Weeks Old

2 Baby boys (compliments of sister)

Daddy's Little Wingman

This sweet little shirt was a gift for Ashlyn (below, at 2 1/2 months of age), that was then passed down to brother (above at 1 1/2 weeks of age). Just a hunch, but I think brother is going to be a bit bigger than his sister.

Daddy/Daughter Dance

The Parks & Rec Department in town puts on a Daddy/Daughter dance every year and this was the first year we have been around for it (and really the first where Ashlyn would really be able to enjoy it). So, she got all dressed up with Daddy and danced the night away!

Ash and Kitty Kat, all dressed up, ready to boogie
(Kitty Kat came from Build-A-Bear, another Daddy/Daughter event that happened earlier the same day)

dance, dance, dance (and with a bag of popcorn - now that's talent!)

(dancing here with good buddy Ally)

No big surprise, daddy reported that she LOVES to dance, especially to hip/hop music and that people made comments as to how there was no mistaking whose child she was (her daddy's, in case it wasn't obvious: fun-loving, energetic and crazy/wild/full of smiles and laughter, and good dance moves). Makes for a very proud Daddy indeed!
