We'll Be Back Soon

We have been traveling and traveling and then traveling some more the past few weeks. We are now officially back in "The States" and have sadly left our Japanese home (sniff, sniff). We were in Washington for a few days, then on to Richmond, then Virginia Beach, a quick trip to the Outer Banks, back to Richmond, and will fly out of DC on Saturday to get back to Washington and begin to settle in to life in Anacortes once again.

Ashlyn has had a really rough time this go-round of adjusting her schedule and FINALLY slept through the night (her normal 12 hours) just 3 nights ago; this after over 3 weeks of broken and interrupted sleep, crying, eating, and playing in the middle of the night. We are praying that this last transition back to the west coast will be an easy one and we can finally get her settled in one house and back on a regular routine. She has been a trooper and is slowly adjusting to American food and the English language. It has been so fun to see family and friends while on the east coast and know that they are now just a short (relatively speaking) plane ride away instead of on the other side of the world.
Hopefully I can get the blog updated soon with our adventures the last few weeks!
