Every spring, I eagerly await the blooming of my favorite purple irises. This year, I have passed on my fondness for them to Ashlyn. For the past week, I have been showing her the green buds, telling her that any day, purple petals will be breaking through. So each day she goes and checks to see if there is any purple on them. Then, just a few days ago, she came running to tell me that the flower finally opened - she was as excited as I was!
We are still waiting for it's friends to open their green buds and watch daily in eager anticipation.
